The Pulse Automotive BU has two development sites one of which is loacted in Asia (Zuhai - China) and the other is located in Europe (Meinerzhagen - Germany).
At these locations our interdisciplinary teams (product development, process development, quality, project management, test & analysis) develop products like:
- Ignition transformers
- Hydraulic valve actuators
- HID (Xenon) igniter modules
- actuator coils for adaptive damping systems
- Antenna systems for immobilizers
- Inductive components for printed circuit boards (filters, gate drivers, transformers)
These teams combine a wealth of experience with modern equipment and simulation tools.
In addition to a huge prototype lab which is independent of the production and an own reliabilty test laboratory the European site also has its own tool shop and an EMC shielded room for non radiated emc measurements.
Electromagnetic FEM simulation performed on a plug top ignition coil in order to compare the maximum applied magnetic field strength in the permanent magnet with its critical field strength.
Pulse tool for the simulation of the magnetic behavior of ignition transformers.
Results of the simulation tool from left to right:
Quality of the simulated primary current compared to the measurement,
calculation of the maximum available high voltage in different set points,
spark energy as a function of primary current.
In-house development of end of line testers. The picture shows a part of a tester for hydraulic valve actuators.
